Binding Tips:

To enjoy your binder in good health always remember, take it off after 8-12 hours on to give your lungs a rest - cough hard a few times to loosen any fluid build up (common when wearing something that compresses your chest) and don't wear it to bed!

Wearing a binder to bed is when the fluid build-up risk is at the highest. You don't want to end up in the hospital with pulmonary (fluid) edema, similar to pneumonia. You may not be able to breathe and that's a scary thing.
 
Your breathing slows way down when you sleep and when your chest is constricted, you are putting yourself at real risk if you wear a binder 24/7 or when you sleep.
 
When you sleep, your heart slows, as well, which means less blood is being filtered through your kidneys and less fluid is being  rid from your body.

Welcome!

I am back from a hiatus due to health issues. I appreciate all who sent emails and especially those who did not press me for time when I would be back! I have saved all emails from those who did something like that. Fair warning, this may DQ you from the program. Being disrespectful of my situation does not bode well with me. I won't reward selfish behavior so, if you pressured me for an answer when I'd be back, do not submit a request. I have DNS/IP numbers that ID you; don't try ~ I'll know. Sorry but there is nothing worse than being sick and having someone who only cares about themselves, bother you.

Please note that only serious inquiries only and that binders are available only to those who truly cannot afford a new binder.

I am back but need time to answer emails and send out binders to qualified persons.

You must fill out the form below FULLY for me to answer you - missing information will result in No Reply so, if you have not heard back from me within 3-4 days (not counting weekends), resend your application (you must fill out again, and be sure you did not leave anything out or any section blank/vacant!

The problems that were happening before with issues like this will no longer be tolerated. My health problems are lifelong and something I will not overcome. Stress is to be avoided at all costs! if you cannot fill out the application or perform duties like measuring yourself, as instructed, find someone to help you BEFORE you attempt to fill it out.

Onward:

I created this program to help those who are unable to afford a new binder obtain a used quality binder.

The program has helped countless guys all over the world.

Though running this program has it's challenges, (boy, does it!) Now and then there challenges present themselves regarding the program, yet overall it's been a rewarding experience, especially when I get an email from a homeless guy who received a binder telling me how much it is helping him and that he was able to get a job as a man. Letters like these makes the challenging times easier to bear.

I know what it was like years ago when I couldn't afford a new binder and wore neoprene lumbar supports. I remember how hot they were. And Ace® wraps; don't get me started! Great for sprains but bad for binding!

And duct tape? I know you guys are using it but, stop!!! Many guys are permanently scarred from using it.

Too tight binders? A health hazard! It's so important to use the measuring formula, created by Underworks owner, outlined in this program for you

I hope to keep providing quality used binders to those who have fallen on hard times and I hope you out there who have had your chest surgery consider not burning your binder and either consider donating your used binder to this program or joining an online FTM group asking if someone could use it. Either will work; just as long as someone out there receives the benefits of that old binder that has served you so well.

How to Accurately Measure your Chest /Determining your True Size

What you will need: A pen and sheet of paper

Using any Kind of flexible measuring tape:

  1. Measure across the fullest part of the breasts (over the nipple areas and around the back - do not press down!) - All the way around your torso!
    • Write that number down somewhere - you'll need it when you apply- This is Measurement # 1
  2. Measure across under the breasts, where the breast crease is (directly under the breasts all the way around your torso!  (Use of pressure is OK) 
    • Write that number down somewhere - you'll need it when you apply- This is Measurement #2
  3. Add #1 and #2 numbers together - This is the TOTAL
  4. Write down the TOTAL of this addition somewhere - you'll need it when you apply
  5. Now divide the TOTAL by 2
  6. The result of this division is your Final Number - This is your true size
  7. Send us Measurement # 1  & Measurement #2 and the Final Number in your Reservation Application request where asked to enter  - Please allow us to double check the math - no offense. NO NUMBERS - NO REPLY. If you do not hear from anyone, recheck you app and send again. You get 2 chances then you will not be able to re-apply for 6 months! If you need help measuring, have someone do it for you BEFORE you apply
Quick Look @ the Rules
  • You cannot, under any circumstance, be able to afford a new binder @ retail cost - Underworks has a couple great binders for small breasted Transmen starting at just $16.99! The Ultra-Lite Compression Body-T
  • You must be at least 17 to apply
  • If you are not, a parent or guardian over 18 must contact the Director
  • You Must be either FTM/Transman or Intersexed to apply / qualify
  • You must be honestly unable to afford a new binder and be willing to be honest about why. If you are able to work but just don't want to and that's why you cannot afford a new binder, do not submit an application. The number of teenagers/young adults asking for binders because they don't want to work at a fast food place, or because they can't find a job or "no money" is getting RIDICULOUS - those reasons aren't good enough. YOU WILL NOT BE APPROVED. The binders will go to people who are TRULY STRUGGLING! PERIOD. If you are a teen or young adult who doesn't have a really good reason for not working, don't bother submitting an application
  • One Binder per Person
  • You must fully complete the Reservation Application or your email and request will not be acknowledged
  • You must Measure your Chest using the How to Measure Formula & supply the numbers requested to determine your true size - NO NUMBERS as requested, NO REPLY
  • You cannot reapply for another binder for 6 months from the date your binder is mailed, if you are approved or if you submitted an application when you shouldn't have

  • Form must be completely filled out! Incomplete applications will not be answered.

  • Be sure to measure using the How to measure formula - do it 3 times! Triple check your measurements - if you submit inaccurate numbers and a binder is sent to you, which is too small or too big due to these, you will have to send the binder back with your own money AND enclose $5 more dollars for an exchange IF there is one in that size available. MEASURE CORRECTLY!!!!!

It may seem to some of you that this is discriminatory, however, this program was created for Transmen and here's why.

There is a vast difference between Transmen/FTM and TG Butch/Lesbians and Lesbian Drag Kings.

  • Transmen are Transsexuals - They are not Transgendered.

    To be Transgendered, in the case of females, means wishing to Transcend Gender lines, blurring these lines for purposes of mostly self gratification rather than to make mind and body whole. That's not a bad thing - it's a personal preference, a conscious choice.

    There may be some comfort for TG Butch in dressing as men and using a male name but being Transgendered is not  being Transsexual. Some TG Butch are lesbian and there are some who are straight who dress male and date only men. Do you see what I mean by 'blurring the lines'?

    To be Transsexual, in the case of a Transman, means needing to live, have relationships (women or men) work, dress, conduct themselves as men because they feel male beyond dress and look to be who they really are and often for their own sanity. It's in innate feeling. It's often indescribable.

    Being Transsexual is not a choice or lifestyle just like being gay is not a choice, it's innate (born that way).

    The desire and need to be seen as a man, respected as a man and feel whole as a man is more important than most anything else. Transsexuals, in the case of Transmen, are female bodied or intersexed people who struggle with their female gender because they feel male, think male, act male and wish to live as men through dress, hormone therapy and surgery; surgery to what extent varies from male to male. Some feel having all identifying female characteristics (female reproductive organs and breasts) removed is enough. Some feel having complete and total genital reconstruction is necessary.

    Further,

    • Drag Kings are, for the most part, Lesbians -they dress male for the purpose of entertainment and income and do not feel as described above. They are mostly lesbian and live, work and conduct their lives as lesbians/women albeit some very masculine. They enjoy dressing as men while entertaining as men but do not live their lives as men, they do not wish to undergo therapy to transition to male or undergo invasive, dangerous surgeries to correct birth defects (female reproductive organs, female breasts or female genitalia) They are happy to live as female when not in drag. This is also a conscious choice and being a Drag Kings is a lifestyle.

     

  • Transmen do not think of themselves as lesbian or TG butch lesbian or drag kings and bind for a number of reasons
    • The depression statistics with Transmen pre-transition and often during, are high. The actual numbers cannot be compiled accurately.
    • Suicidal feelings living in a female body are extremely high among Transmen.
    • Many cannot look at themselves in the mirror naked because the image in the mirror does not reflect the image of themselves in their mind; breasts are right out there for all to see, in most cases and even small breasts seem huge to many Transmen.
    • Most all Transmen, pre-T and pre-transition bind because of self esteem issues
    • Many must bind to work as men
    • Many cannot get jobs as male because their breasts give them away

    So, when a Transman is going through hard times and cannot afford to buy a new binder but needs to to feel male looking, worthy of love, a job or acceptance, who can they turn to?

    They can turn to this program, that's who and I'd appreciate it if a couple of you would back off.
