Comment: Am very happy with the
result as now have the chest I always wanted. There is a little
bit of excess fat on the sides, but then, I wasn't a small guy by any
means at the time of surgery. Since surgery I have lost some
weight and the excess fat on the sides has decreased. With further
weight loss I am confident this would decrease even further, however, it
simply isn't an issue for me, quite frankly.
During the healing process I had a small
complication with my left nipple graft and lost a small amount of
tissue. It is subsequently slightly smaller than the right.
Again, this simply isn't an issue for me and is no reflection on the
surgeon.. just one of those things.
Had drains for 1 night, hospital stay was 2
nights. Minimal pain managed easily with
paracetamol. Took quality multivitamins before and after
surgery. Also took vitamin E (internally) and Arnica post
surgery. Kept chest out of sun for 12 months post surgery and
applied sun block liberally when in sun for 12 months after that.
Have minimal scarring.. but chest hair helps a lot with that too.
