Credentials/Personal Info: Age 37  Surgeries: I had a double incision with nipple grafts with Dr. Melissa Johnson in May of 2005. Hope to have a complete Hysto by late next year. I started Testosterone in May of 2003.

Other: I am in a longtime relationship with my girlfriend, Tasha. My girl is also trans, she's a male to female (so anyone needing advice, support about an MTF - FTM, relationship, I'm all ears). I am a Full-Time Applied Arts (also known as Graphic Arts) Student. I am very involved in the Transgendered Community, some of the things I do within the community are:  I created a Yahoo! group called Mike's Transgendered Planet in March of this year I(2005), a safe place for Trans people and their families. I have also been recently elected the Active Duty Service Members Liaison to the Transgendered American Veterans Association (TAVA). The Chairperson of the Massachusetts Chapter of the TAVA and the Chairperson of the TAVA's Public Relations Committee. I'm here to help my Trans Brothers and any Trans Sisters out there, just drop me a line.

Credentials/Personal Info: Age 42  Surgeries: I had a double incision with nipple grafts with Dr. Brownstein in August of 2003. Oopherectomy in August of 2004.  Hope to have complete Hysto by next

August. I started Testosterone in April of 2003.

Other: I married my longtime g/f in May of 2004, we have a two year old son and are working on adding another baby to our family. My wife is my biggest supporter and motivator, without her drive I highly doubt I would be as far along in my transition as I am. I have been self employed for the past six years, this allows me the freedom to spend my days taking care of my son. I am happy to be a small help to Nick in answering any questions I can.

Credentials/Personal Info:  Age: 36 - Surgeries: I'm  currently awaiting top surgery on Feb 1st 2006...Time on HRT: I have been on T  injections since DEC. 29, 2004.

Other: I am completely out living as male. I have worked in the field of troubled teens as well as drug addicted babies and adults. I am a moderator of another group in the Trans-community. It would be my pleasure as well as an honor to help anyone in need any way I can.

Credentials/Personal Info: Age: I'm 34, and I live in Tampa, FL. I work for the Disney reservation Center, and part owner of a tutoring business. I started transition in January of 2005. I started T in May of 2005. I have not yet had any surgery, but just asked Disney to add SRS benefits to their insurance, and they are now covering my Chest Surgery, Hysterectomy, and Met if I chose to have one. I’m working with the insurance company now to figure out surgeons, since none of the known surgeons are "in network". Feel free to contact me if you have any questions.

Other: I am in a long distance relationship with a beautiful and open woman named Christina. She lives in Michigan, so if any of you need to talk to someone who understands Long distance relationships, that would definitely be me!

Credentials/Personal Info:  I'm 21 years old and started T in January of 2005.  The transition has completely uplifted my spirits and given me a new ability to understand the human capacity for self-identification.  All-in-all, I have been worked with the trans community for several years through my personal website Trannyboi (www.trannyboi.com) and have found that although all of us are unique individuals, we have many of the same questions and issues to face. 

Other:  My partner Jesse has been by my side throughout my transition.  She and I work together, live together, and love together.  We're practically inseparable and it is hard for people to look to one without the other.  Outside of my trans-identity, I am an English major with a dominant interest in contemporary American fiction and creative writing.  I also enjoy raw cookie dough and participating in the live journal community.

Credentials/Personal Info:  Age: 19 On T since 4/05 Top surgery 5/05. Not interested in other surgeries at the moment.

 
Other: I am a student at a community college.  I plan to move onto a Culinary Arts school as soon as possible.  Happy to be a member of Nick's team and willing to answer any questions.

Credentials/Personal Info: Age: 48. Surgeries: Just had top surgery 3/05, not going to go on T, or other surgeries, not feeling the need. 

Other: After the top surgery, I became comfortable in my skin for the first time in 48 yrs. and am doing well with my girlfriend/partner who has been supportive all the way through. Not sure what will come next, just taking it all in. I have a degree in Family/Child Counseling and work in the HIV/AIDS Service field. I am open to any and all questions, if I don't know it, I am a hell of a researcher who can track answers to most things.

Credentials/Personal Info: Age:  I'm 26, and I live in Mankato MN.  I work for a local treatment center run by the State of Minnesota in the warehouse.  I started transition in November of 2003.  I started T in July of 2004, and have had all the usual ups and downs associated with transition.  I have not yet had any surgery, but am working on building my credit to obtain a loan for chest surgery. 

Other: I am married to a wonderful woman named Jaime who I've been with since Sept. of 2002.  She's been there for me through everything, and has been an invaluable member of my support system.  We have no children, and do not plan on having any.  We do however have 2 dogs, 2 hamsters and 1 cat.  I enjoy spending time with my dogs and wife going camping, hunting, fishing or boating.  I also like to dabble a bit in mechanics, woodworking, and home repair.  If you have any questions or just need someone to talk to, feel free to drop me a line, I'm an email junkie!

Credentials/Personal Information:  I'm 27 years old, and knew i was a man ever since i could remember. I was able to finally start "T" on June 20Th of 2005, i had chest surgery in Oct. 2004. was the best thing that has happened medically for me in life. I plan on getting lower surgery in about 2 to 5 years i want to give the T time to help me grow. i live full time as a man and have been for as long as i could dress myself growing up.

Other:  i like to do just what any guy other guy likes to do. i just want to live a long happy normal life with my wife. we have been together for 3 years and i love her for her understanding and love. i want to help others like myself, because if it was not for this site i would have still been stuck in that old body helpless.. so if i can give someone else a little direction to help them, than it kind of makes everything i went through seem not so bad. this is a great site and I am a changed man because of it.

Credentials/Personal Information: I’m a Registered Nurse in a large urban ED and Trauma Unit, I’m also a Microbiologist; 38 Years old. HRT: I started “T” on November 1st 2004. Surgeries: I had “top” surgery with Dr. Melissa Johnson in October, 2004. I am scheduled for a total hysterectomy/oophorectomy in December of this year.

 

Other: I live in Western Massachusetts , am married to a wonderful woman. We have two daughters, almost 8 and 9 years old. We have a house full of pets and enjoy our time together whenever we can. I’m a voracious reader and have  broad body of knowledge – but the more I know the less I realize I know, so I am pretty good about separating opinions from fact (even though my opinions are right), and I can see all sides to a good argument. I’m online quite a bit, and promise to get back to anyone who emails within a day or so.

I feel the staff gathered so far encompasses what the essence of FTM means as well as what being a decent, helpful brother is. They and myself are here for you.
